Overview:
East Penn is seeking someone to work in the
Analytical Lab. Work will focus on quality assurance, process control, and environmental analysis using various instrumentation, including x‐ray equipment.
Responsibilities:
Follows and writes lab procedures.
Maintains safe working conditions.
Analysis includes wet chemistry, instrumental analysis, physical testing, and metallography.
Is responsible and posseses the authority to author, approve, and maintain documents that are contained in the quality system.
Is responsible and possesses the authority to assist in determining the disposition of nonconforming product, which in certain instances may require a stoppage in production or shipment.
- Maintains regular attendance.
- Ability to work mandatory over time.
Responsible for producing a high quality product.
Responsible for proper hygiene, housekeeping, and safety practices.
- These tasks are considered essential elements of the job.
Qualifications:
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS, Bachelor of Science Degree Preferred; READING REQUIREMENTS, Capable of reading and working with parts and equipment manuals; MATHEMATICAL SKILLS, Accurate Basic Math (adding, subtracting, multiplying, dividing), Basic understanding of Algebra, Basic understanding of Physics, Basic understanding of Trigonometry; COMPUTER SKILLS, Component Specific Software, Good Computer Skills, Mini Tab, Management System Reporting (MSR), Word, Proficient in Excel; REASONING SKILLS, Does troubleshooting and provides potential solutions for problems and communicate ideas, Ability to resolve discrepancies; MECHANICAL SKILLS, Hand Tools, Basic troubleshooting skills of pnematics, hydraulics, and power transmissions, Basic Electrical skills; COMMUNICATION SKILLS, Good Telephone Skills, Good Verbal and Written Communication Skills
