Position Summary:
The Data and Systems Integration Analyst serves in a crucial role with ensuring the smooth operation and efficiency of District data initiatives while contributing to data-driven decision making, improved student outcomes, and providing accurate and timely data to local, state, and federal agencies.
The Data and Systems Integration Analyst will be a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, managing communication and documentation and for supervising logistics and assigned non-certified staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct, schedule, assign, oversee, and review the work of assigned non-certified staff.
- Enforce relevant policies, procedures and provisions of a collective bargaining agreement for assigned non-certified staff.
- Utilize independent judgment, supervisory and management skills.
- Foster a positive and productive work environment, promoting collaboration and problem-solving.
- Delegate tasks effectively and ensure that workload is balanced and managed efficiently.
- Provide support for the Districts student information systems including placing service calls and corresponding with those requesting assistance.
- Establish and document procedures to ensure data quality and that procedures are followed with fidelity.
- Maintain and develop reporting solutions as required internally and externally, including those required by the Rhode Island Department of Education [RIDE].
- Create and maintain user accounts and passwords.
- Build, configure, and maintain data synchronization for ancillary systems.
- Provide general technical assistance.
- Create and administer training as appropriate.
- Collect data by identifying sources of information; designing survey and collection methods.
- Organize information by studying, analyzing, interpreting, and classifying data.
- Resolve retrieval problems by altering design to meet requirements.
- Prepare reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Prepare references for users by writing operating instructions.
- Maintain historical records by documenting system changes and revisions.
- Establish and revise databases by conferring with analysts and programmers to code and retrieve data.
- Maintain databases.
- Assist with data validation and submittal of data to state and federal agencies.
- Assist with student registration when needed.
- Assume other generally related responsibilities as may be assigned by the Superintendent, Assistant Superintendent, Data Director and/or their designee.
