Position Summary:


The Manager - Physician Practice Team Effectiveness offers an extraordinary opportunity to be an integral leader of this world class, groundbreaking institution, focused on managing and optimizing physician practice staff recruitment and float pool processes.

This is a key leadership role working closely with physician practices and other Service Line teams on all staff recruitment and float pool processes.


The Service Lines Department is focused on strategic and operational support of the medical staff and their offices of these Services, collaboratively defining strategy, and executing operational initiatives to support strategic goals.

To that end, the Manager focuses on physician staff recruitment policies and procedures as well as the management and oversight of float pool resourcing needs.


Recruitment:


  • Partners with hiring managers to strategize and ensure the screening, hiring and onboarding of a qualified, competent and talented workforce
  • Conducts weekly departmental recruitment meetings to ensure continual feedback and progress on all open positions
  • Maintain detailed and uptodate recruitment progress for department

Practice Support:


  • Monitor departmental staff compliance with policies and procedures (annual inservices, COI, Med Staff forms)
  • Manage float staff, ensuring proper training and soliciting feedback from offices and Service Lines team on performance
  • Oversee all temporary staffing needs and assignments
  • Meet 1on1 biweekly with float staff to give and receive feedback, share pertinent feedback with Business Operations Manager for follow up when needed
  • Oversee physician practice PTO and leave float coverage collaborating with administrative managers on coverage (23 hours per day)
  • Maintain Service Lines medical leave documentation and management

Other Functions and Responsibilities

  • Perform staff onboardings managing all aspects including appropriate system access/training, review of policies and procedures, deployment of equipment, and new hire orientation including departmental level operational training as assigned
  • Assist team with staff performance monitoring, coaching, and disciplinary action as needed
  • Kronos timekeeping support as assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Education

  • Bachelor's

Experience/Requirements

  • 4+ years' progressive experience in a hospital setting; advanced healthcare degree may be considered in lieu of experience requirements (e.g. MPH, MHA, MBA, etc.)
  • Healthcare departmental operations experience with demonstrated involvement in HR functions including hiring, onboarding, and performance improvement
  • Experience managing direct reports
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and effectively influence in a complex, multidepartmental, and matrixed environment
  • Demonstrated capacity to multitask and utilize critical thinking skills to identify and solve problems
  • Ability to problem solve and manage projects independently
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, ability to forge and maintain strong professional relationships
  • Advanced proficiency with MS Office, including: Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously, often under a deadline in a fastpaced environment
  • Selfmotivated, detailoriented and pragmatic; a team player who is analytical and solutionfocused
  • Must possess ability to learn new software tools & systems as required on the job
  • Experience with Epic to support operational process improvement preferred

Other Requirements:
#LI-Hybrid Pay Range - Minimum: USD $90,000.00/Yr


Pay Range - Maximum:
USD $120,000.00/Yr.
