    Description

    The Accounting and Information Systems Analyst will be part of Administration department and report directly to the CFO.

    1. Leads the analysis, identification, and evaluation of systems requirements
    2. Responsible the development of effective reports, enhancements, and interfaces
    3. Steers the development of functional specifications;
    4. Plans and reviews systems testing
    5. Prepares, plans, and implements new or revised procedures
    6. Identifies and recommends sub-systems modifications and interfaces to ensure systems compatibility and data integrity; and develops long-term project plans
    7. Assists CFO in ensuring that the financial systems are compatible with accounting guidelines. In
    8. Identifies and determines new financial system reporting and processing requirements as a result of user requests;
    9. Revises existing documentation, or recommends and coordinates the development and implementation of system enhancements with other information services/accounting divisions and sections.
    10. Leads the development of training programs for staff and departments in areas such as accounting and systems procedures; and serves as a liaison and resource person to staff, departmental users, and management regarding fiscal issues such as reporting requirements, new and existing accounting policies and procedures, and computer system enhancements.
    11. Assists in establishing methods and procedures to monitor and control the integrity and reliability of financial systems.
    12. Handles he identification and development of complex financial system transactions, system tables, parameters, and functions to ensure that accounting events are properly recorded for completeness, appropriateness, and accuracy.
    13. Prepares a variety of written reports and recommendations.
    14. Presents and explains reports to management, accounting staff, and other stakeholders;
    15. Plans and conducts meetings related to accounting system and information issues.
    16. Performs related duties and responsibilities as assigned
    This is a full-time on-site position in our Hudson, Ohio facility and is not eligible for remote work.
    • Requirements
    Qualifications
    1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance OR Computer Programming or a combination of education and experience that is equivalent
    2. A minimum of ten years of experience
    3. 5 or more years of experience in advanced Dynamics GP concepts, SalesPad, Smart Sheets, SQL, and SSRS strongly preferred.
    4. 5 or more years of professional related experience in accounting or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities
    5. Analytic, organization and problem-solving skills which allows for strategic data interpretation versus simple reporting
    6. Ability to translate complex financial concepts to individuals at all levels, including non-finance personnel
    7. Ability to maintain documentation of work including file maintenance and report development
    8. Proficiency in Microsoft Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point) required
    9. The ability to learn and utilize the necessary programs for this position
    10. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in written form
    11. Good interpersonal and professional skills including but not limited to professional appearance, tact, punctuality, and dependability
    12. Ability to work independently or in a team environment (as deemed necessary)
