    Shifts available:

    • 1st Shift: 6:00am – 2:30pm
    • 2nd Shift: 2:00pm – 10:30pm (includes 10% shift differential)

    Position Summary:

    As an ABEC Mechanical Assembler, you will be responsible for assembling and/or fabricating mechanical parts, pieces, or products using various tools and equipment according to specified requirements.

    Responsibilities:

    • Accurately assemble and fabricate equipment following proper procedures and within deadlines
    • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail and accuracy during the fabrication process
    • Possess knowledge of various hand tools, fabricating equipment, and measuring devices
    • Work on stainless steel fabrication tasks including cutting tubes, operating hand grinders, polishing, bending, and assembly
    • Perform NDT/Liquid Penetrate on all inside welds of electro-polished vessels
    • Installation and maintenance of utility/service lines
    • Utilize overhead crane and/or forklift
    • Physically able to wear protective eye, ear, and headgear
    • Capable of standing for 8+ hours per day
    • Inspect and ensure proper and safe operation of all shop equipment
    • Conduct operations in a safe manner and suggest improvements
    • Execute additional tasks as assigned and be willing to travel when necessary

    Requirements:

    • High School diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum of one (1) year of previous experience in assembly/fabrication
    • Experience with MIG & TIG stainless steel welding methods & techniques is advantageous but not mandatory
    • Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic mathematical calculations
    • Familiarity with blueprint reading
    • Proficient in the use of hand tools and basic fabrication tools
    • Able to lift at least 50 lbs. / 23 kilograms
    • Work usually in a manufacturing environment or at customer sites
    • Expect standing for extended periods and engaging in heavy manual labor
    • Physical requirements include standing, sitting, walking, bending, stooping, reaching, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying items
    • Exposure to loud noises and readiness to wear personal protective equipment
