    Senior Purchasing Manager - Zeeland, Michigan


    DISHER is partnering with a local manufacturing leader to identify a Senior Purchasing Manager to join their team in Zeeland, MI.

    This role will develop and execute strategic commodity plans and negotiate purchasing agreements. This position will assume ultimate responsibility to ensure that suppliers deliver quality product, on time, at the negotiated price. Additionally, this position will lead and mentor the regional MRO Purchasing team.

    What You'll Get to Do:
    Develop and execute strategic commodity plans and negotiate purchasing agreements
    Purchase materials, supplies, and services
    Identify and develop new suppliers on a global basis
    Resolve conflicts that arise with supplier delivery schedules, raw materials, inventory, pricing, etc.
    Develops enterprise-wide strategies and solutions to continuously improve cost, delivery, and quality
    Lead the regional MRO Purchasing team


    What Will Make You Successful:
    Bachelor's degree in Business or related field
    10+ years of experience in purchasing; preferred in a manufacturing environment
    5+ years of management experience
    Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a team
    Experience developing suppliers to meet organizational goals for cost, deliver, and quality
    Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, or similar)
    Ability to use both written and verbal communication effectively at all levels of an organization
    Open to travel up to 15%
    Must have the current and continuing right to work in the United States of America without restrictions or expirations

    $125,000 - $150,000 a year
