ABOUT US

Next Stage Design + Build is a dynamic team of residential remodeling professionals, dedicated to bringing a full-service experience to upscale homeowners in Silicon Valley.

We're looking for an interior designer that loves construction to join our top-notch design team.

We're in search of an experienced designer ready to jump in on mid-size remodeling projects with varying levels of complexity.

Solid space planning skills are essential. Keen eye in developing color and materials palettes and presenting with confidence. A background in remodeling or design-build is a plus. Full-time hybrid position in North San Jose.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design mid-size kitchen, bath, and whole house remodels
Produce detailed construction drawings, including electrical plans, elevations, floorplans and permit sets
Lead clients through the design process from concept to completion
Specify all design materials for projects
Collaborate with a design/build team in planning and executing projects


QUALIFICATIONS
Associate or bachelor's degree in design or interior architecture

Minimum 5 years in interior design, preferably in residential remodeling

Proficient in Chief Architect

Basic knowledge of residential building code

Solid space planning skills, specific to remodeled spaces

Understanding of Universal Design

Highly organized and detail focused

Skilled at project planning and time management

Exceptional communicator and listener

Experienced creating materials palettes and sourcing materials

Expected range, commensurate with experience:
$68K-$78k annually, plus benefits.
