Description

The full-time specialist in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (Physiatrist) will assist with patient intake assessment and clinical follow-up, provide ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided pain modulating interventional treatments (including diagnostic and therapeutic injections, nerve ablations etc.) and supervise//direct the rehabilitation of patients with musculoskeletal pain. He/she will provide rehabilitation specialist input to an interdisciplinary team that also includes primary care and sport medicine physicians, nursing, x-ray tech and physiotherapy team members.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Medicine degree (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO), Fellowship or fellowship eligible with the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Eligible for licensure in Alberta Canadian Medical Protective Association
(CMPA) registration, or Board Certified Physiatrist actively practicing in the United States. Has a interest and expertise in musculoskeletal medicine Good communication skills and aptitude in working as a member of an interdisciplinary team Experience with EMG/NCS, MSK ultrasound and/or fluoroscopy guided injections an advantage
