Our family owned and operated company is currently seeking a Commercial Cleaner to join our team in our Prairieville location

JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary/Objective This position keeps buildings in clean and orderly condition, performs regular office cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing trash/rubbish.

Essential Functions

• Clean building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming.
• Gather and empty trash.
• Service, clean, and supply restrooms.
• Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
• Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using soapy water or other cleaners, sponges, and squeegees.
• Dust furniture, walls, machines, and equipment.
• Notify managers concerning the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
• Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, and chairs to prepare facilities for events such as banquets and meetings.
• Wear the proper safety equipment.

Work Environment This position works in an office and warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday.

The employee must regularly lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move objects that weigh more than 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling.

Required Education and Experience High school diploma or GED, or equivalent years of experience.
