***: The Scheduling Specialist is a vital position for a children's advocacy center. The primary focus of this position is to schedule forensic interviews for children and adults with intellectual disabilities who are involved in an investigation of abuse. The Scheduling Specialist will take the initial call and gather all required information from the partner agency representative. Once all necessary information is gathered, they will then coordinate with all other partners agencies involved to ensure everyone is present during the interview.

  • Receive and process referrals from multidisciplinary (MDT) partners for all forensic interview appointments.
  • Coordinate with other MDT partners who may be involved in a case to ensure they are aware and present for scheduled forensic interview.
  • Gather and review all required documentation related to a scheduled interview.
  • Supervises the forensic interview calendar and troubleshoot scheduling problems and conflicts.
  • Coordinate with all partners when appointments are rescheduled.
  • Creates and maintains all MDT partner contact information within a spreadsheet and other databases utilized by Children's Safe Harbor staff.
  • Provides education and orientation to new partners and staff about the purpose of the children's advocacy center and the scheduling process.
  • Data collection and entry into various logs and systems as directed by leadership.
  • Participates in department and staff meetings.
  • Assist with front office coverage duties as needed.
  • Participates in a 24/7 on call rotation with other Children's Safe Harbor staff for priority cases.
  • Other duties as assigned

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS:


  • High School Graduate or Associate degree in social work or related field
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively handle multiple assignments in a dynamic environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive documents and client/case information.
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills.
  • Professionalism
  • Willingness to work as part of a team.

Pay:
$35, $45,000.00 per year
