The Western States Regional Council of Carpenters (WSRCC) is currently seeking an experienced, optimistic, motivated Real Estate Associate to assist in our Real Estate Department, based in Ontario, CA.
Under the guidance of the Director of Real Estate, the Real Estate Associate will perform property management duties related to Council Real Estate portfolio, respond to maintenance requests, and handle the improvement and management of the day-to-day vendor operations but also directly assist the Real Estate Department with general administrative tasks.
As a direct line to the Real Estate Director, the Real Estate Associate will work across the Council but also with external contacts that will oftentimes require tact and discretion.
The Real Estate Associate should have a good knowledge base of Commercial Property Management, Real Estate Principles, General and Real Estate specific maintenance, insurance, contracts, administration and be able to navigate complex administrative situations in an independent fashion.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Directly responsible for all Property Management needs on council properties
- Respond to maintenance requests and work orders
- Procure and review maintenance and repair proposals
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repairs on properties
- Prepare service, maintenance, and rental contracts
- Schedule and track Back Flow Devises, Burglar, Elevator, Fire, ext. Inspection and permits
- Request, file, and track W9's, insurance, and maintenance contracts for validity.
- Assist in accounting coding
- Interact with tenants and vendors
- Schedule and follow up on maintenance requests.
- Special projects as needed
JOB SPECIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Excellent MS Office Knowledge specifically, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with Yardi property management software
- Knowledge of business operations
- Administrative experience, including management of multiple projects/deadlines.
SPECIAL SKILLS (REQUIRED):
- Commercial property management experience
- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects/deadlines simultaneously
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Must exercise discretion and confidentiality
- Adaptable with a willingness to adjust to changing responsibilities and expectations
- Demonstrated ability to multitask, organize and deliver highquality work
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work well with a team
- Resourceful and detailoriented
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at a time
HOURS:
This is a full-time position that is expected to work 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required.
HOURLY TARGET RANGE - $30-$35
Pay:
$ $40.00 per hour
