Our Sterile Processing Technicians work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing.

What You Will Do:


  • Reprocess surgical trays postsurgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next case
  • Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets
  • Participate in regular onsite training

Education Degree:


  • High School Diploma or GED

What You Need to Be Successful:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 2+ years of SPD experience with demonstrated proficiency in all SPD Technician responsibilities, including a solid proficiency and ability to work independently with all tray sets.
  • CRCST or CSPDT certification is required. Must also obtain CIS, CER/CFER, or STERIS Assessment certification within 12 months of hire.
  • Both certifications must be maintained annually.
  • Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours each year.
