Job Summary

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring welding plans are compliant to health and safety requirements.
  • Arrange site quality compliance procedures, manuals, and reports.
  • Execute the QC tasks of a project or its parts including QC inspection scheduled and the collection of quality records.
  • Supervisor inspections, surveys, reports, and documentation issued by inspectors and collect and file the required documents.
  • Evaluate the qualifications of welders and nondestructive testNDT technicians concerning activities assigned.
  • Evaluate the qualifications of the employees and subcontractors.
  • Assess all welding activities are carried out according to the customer specifications and contract deviations are being reported.
  • Advise on the implementation of relative corrective actions. Systematically record the nonconformity or event reports issued and identify and assess appropriate corrective actions.
  • Ensure adherence to the QA/QC Management System through periodic audits.
  • Actively promote and enforce company Safety and Quality Policies and Procedures.
  • Provide technical input for planning and quality control processes.
  • Support quality testing, inspections, and documentation, including thirdparty services.
  • Prepare and submit accurate compliance status reports.
  • Manage project closeout.
  • Collaborate with management on adhering to safety protocols.
  • Responsible for reading plan modules to verify performance in the field.
  • Maintain all welding/compliance documents ensuring they are up to date.
  • Ensure required testing data, and that documentation is in place and readily accessible.
  • Coordinate and schedule all document control reviews and auditing.
  • Maintain, plan, and schedule all ongoing certifications, training, and various compliancerelated documentation in correspondence with the Safety Manager and QA Manager.
  • Prepare reports through collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data; make recommendations for corrections and/or improvements.
  • Manage outsourced calibrations.
  • Compile statistical quality data.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Employee will be assessed on the following targets:

  • Welding quality
  • A minimum of failures of welding components
  • Working following WPS
  • Working per customer specifications

Qualifications

  • Clean background with the ability to receive clearance to work in shipyards.
  • Experience with meeting minutes, spreadsheets, document organization, and electronic filing.
  • Must be proficient with Microsoft Suite and Adobe PDF.
  • Must have exceptional organizational skills and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to work in a fastpaced environment.
  • Must have good multitasking skills.
