DESCRIPTION:

The Shipping/Receiving Lead will oversee incoming and outbound materials and sees that the related paperwork meets the quality standards in accordance with CIM's Quality Management System (QMS) and CIM's AS9100 Standard Certification.

Verifies shipments according to customer purchase orders.

Ensures accuracy of orders against shipments; palletizes, wraps, and loads/unloads shipments onto trucks as well as places incoming shipments into proper locations throughout the facility.

This individual will also work with various departments including but not limited to Production, Inspection, Accounting, Deburr/Assembly, etc.
They must also maintain a professional and positive attitude and focus on good customer service.

The nature of this position allows some access to confidential financial, business, and/or personal information. This individual must maintain and protect the privacy of this information and exhibit proper etiquette with the information.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Include the following. *Other duties may be assigned.

• Prepares items for shipping, receiving, inventory, issuing, and shipping materials.
• Studies shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules.
• Utilizes knowledge of shipping procedures, routes and rates.
• Oversees and performs incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure the accuracy, completeness and condition of shipments.
• Reviews records for accuracy of information and compliance with established procedures
• Directs and performs movements of shipments and stock from shipping, and stock room to storage or work areas.
• Reports any discrepancies to immediate supervisor.
• Maintains area in a clean, orderly, and safe manner.
• Complies with company policies and procedures giving special attention to safety regulations
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Forklift certification required. Operates forklift/palletpallet jack safely and efficiently within OSHA standards.
• Generates Purchase Orders and maintains communication with vendors for job status.

Able to drive shop vehicle as far as Los Angeles and/or close local vendors and customers for deliveries/pick-ups

• Orders shipping/shop supplies as needed/requested by personnel.
• Meets daily deadlines to ensure shipments are processed before UPS pick up.
• Able to work overtime
• Maintains flexible and competent work attitude in fast paced and constantly changing priority environment.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum of 1 year of Shipping/Receiving experience (in Manufacturing) is a plus
• Proficiency with ERP Systems (E2, Job Boss, Macola, SAP, Pro-Shop) is a plus
• Must have strong computer skills in, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Adobe
• Must have a positive attitude when working with Customers, Visitors, and Employees
• Must answer phones in a professional manner and be able to take accurate messages
• The ability to read blueprints is not required but is a plus
• The Ability to complete paperwork
• Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
• Must be detailed oriented

Pay:
$ $22.00 per hour
