In this role as an I
maging Team Leader you will be responsible for maintaining continuity in the day-to-day operations of the
MRI section in the
Department of Radiology.
Essential Job Functions:
- Has a knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical and psychological needs of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, young and mature adults, and geriatric patients.
- Assigns the technical staff to work stations. Using the posted work schedule as a guide. Distributes the work to technical staff controlling patient/work flow.
- Reviews Radiology request for the proper completion of exam data. Ensures correct data is entered into RIS.
- Perform mammography procedures to demonstrate sectional anatomic images for interpretation by or at the request of a licensed practitioner.
- The technologist will provide appropriate patient care and recognize patient's conditions essential for successful completion of the procedures.
- The services are provided in accordance with industry standards, department protocols and hospital policies and procedures.
- Acts as a key contact person for the section; works with physicians, nursing floors, radiologists, and ICLr to prioritize and coordinate the daily work load as appropriate.
- Acts as a leader and role model for staff technologists.
Required Qualifications:
- Current registry by ARRT, ARDMS, or NMTCB and licensure by the State of Illinois (IEMA)
- Minimum of three years experience as technologist
- CPR training required, BLS training recommended
