Program Manager Job Description

  • Act as primary customer contact for program activities
  • Drive improvements to customer scorecards, Key Performance Metrics
  • Execute, monitor, and delivery of the program from contract award through the lifecycle of the product
  • Responsible for Program Metrics
  • Opportunities & Risks (O&R) compilation weekly
  • Identify Gap Closure Opportunities
  • Complies with ITAR and EAR regulations
  • Day to day interaction with the customer regarding military programs
  • Maintain and update LOB's (Line of Balance) accordingly
  • Interaction with department heads regarding shipping requirements and priorities
  • Maintain and track program costs to insure profitability
  • Maintain and track program shortages
  • Interaction with Supply Chain regarding shortages and costs
  • Assist supply chain as needed expediting shortages
  • Visit local suppliers as needed to insure timely delivery schedule
  • Visit customers as needed

Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills especially in team building/maintenance and customer relationships
  • Familiar with SYSPRO or other MRP systems
  • Experience in working with the Aerospace and Defense customer community and in serving as a principal point of contact to key military and commercial customers
  • Strong computer skills especially in Excel and Project
  • Negotiation Skills
  • Able to travel
