Collaborates with the Enterprise Learning and Development team in designing learning experiences that support City of Hope's philosophy, mission, vision and strategic plan.


Daily duties will include planning and developing methods and procedures for implementing programs, directing and coordinating program activities, and exercising control over personnel responsible for specific functions or phases of programs.


Works closely with Director, executive sponsors, key stakeholders, technical and service-oriented offices to provide learning and development expertise, education, and world-class service to all internal customers.


  • Oversees program lifecycle(s) and manages all activities necessary to meet organizational goals and strategic initiatives, acting as liaison between internal clients and internal teams
  • Establish and monitors systems for program plans, including budget, resource allocation, and program communication while identifying tracks, and mitigating risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies. Conducting training needs assessments and assisting in the development of training programs based on the needs of the organization. Responsible for vendor management; overseeing all vendor partnerships, and supporting and identifying opportunities for efficiency.
  • Supports in strategic planning, tracking, management, and the annual evaluation of Learning and Development training programs.
  • Acts as a thought partner to LTD leaders and consultants; elevating learning and professional development solutions and experiences
  • Support the development of enterprise key Learning and Development metrics and reporting Learning and Development metrics and reporting; reflecting the state of the organization.
  • Communicate closely with the Director of Learning and Development and Executive Director of Org Design (quarterly reports) to ensure consistency and standardization of the training programs across the organization.
  • Develop new policies and procedures, workflows, etc. as it relates to Learning and Development.
  • Developing metrics to measure impact of learning programs to ensure achievement of desired business outcomes (performance improvement, compliance, skills proficiency, behavioral capability, management/leadership competence, etc.)

Your qualifications should include:

***- Bachelor's Degree and five (5) years of project management experience working in organizational development, learning and development
- ~or~

  • Eight (8) years of project management experience working in organizational development, learning and development
  • Master's Degree in Instructional Design, preferred.
  • LMS (Cornerstone), preferred.
  • Instructional Design certification, Project Management certification.
  • Supervisory experience in an academic medical setting.
  • Experience with Clinical or Education Research Publications and grants.
  • Experience in education research or clinical research environment.
