CURRENT VACANCY INFORMATION:

The General Government Service Center (GGSC) within the Department of Administrative and Financial Services is looking to add an Accounting Tech to our team.

The accounting tech will support several agencies within GGSC.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This position operates as a member of the Accounting Division responsible for analyzing, preparing and paying invoices, billing, deposits, and journal vouchers.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Knowledge of generally accepted accounting theories, principles, methods, practices, and terminology.
Knowledge of governmental accounting standards and systems.
Knowledge of computerized accounting systems.
Knowledge of standardized desktop technology and products.
Ability to review fiscal transactions for conformity with applicable laws, policies, and procedures.
Ability to communicate effectively.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

An Associates Degree from an accredited educational institution in Accounting

Any Bachelors Degree from an accredited educational institution that includes 12 semester hours in accounting coursework
