- Design and implement advanced localization and perception systems for global and local scope to ensure precise rover navigation on the lunar surface.
- Implement state-of-the-art sensor fusion techniques to enhance system accuracy and reliability using data from multiple sensors.
- Develop algorithms for terrain and obstacle mapping to facilitate effective path planning and autonomous rover operation.
- Integrate perception systems with rover hardware to ensure seamless operation in lunar environments.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to align system designs with rover specifications and mission objectives.
- Oversee testing and validation of localization and perception systems through simulations and field trials to meet project goals.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance for fostering innovation and technical excellence.
- Utilize project management skills to coordinate additional engineering support and ensure project milestones are met.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Robotic Engineering, or related fields.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in localization, perception, sensor fusion, and mapping technologies, preferably in autonomous vehicles or robotics.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as C++, Python, and experience with ROS.
- Experience in perception and localization research in unstructured environments.

- Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, or related fields with a focus on localization, perception, mapping, or sensor fusion.
- Prior experience in space robotics or autonomous systems for unstructured environments.
- Experience in developing algorithms for resource-constrained systems.
- Published research or contributions to open-source projects related to localization, sensor fusion, or autonomous navigation.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills in driving projects to completion.
