VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR

Case and Volunteer Management:


  • Supervision of volunteer advocates.
  • Coach and mentor volunteers
  • Continual training of volunteers
  • Knowledge of child placement options, levels of care and DPRS policies and procedures.
  • Ability to clearly convey and interpret information to others in a clear manner, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to work under time constraints and maintain effective job performance.
  • Ability to make decisions independently in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Carry a case load of 30 volunteers/45 cases(maximum) as assigned.
  • Coordinates casework responsibilities including family and child contacts, professional contacts, support services, linkage to community resources, court report monitoring, appearances at hearings and management of case files.
  • Attend court hearings and PPT's with child advocate, or in their place if necessary.
  • Provide notification of meetings and hearings to child advocates.
  • Provide timely, accurate reports for submission to the court and to other involved parties.
  • Maintain up-to-date case files, including progress notes, weekly chronological narratives, reports and motions, correspondence, etc.
  • Maintain case statistics for funding and statistical reporting.
  • Maintain and foster congenial relationships with other professionals.
  • Evaluate child advocate case activity and performance.
  • Must complete 12 hours training annually.

Volunteer & Staff Training

  • Assisting the trainer in the recruitment of volunteers.
  • Provide and/or facilitate continuing education opportunities (in-service) to meet or exceed CASA Standards.
  • Maintain Volunteer Records

Other Duties:


  • Attend community meetings as necessary.
  • Assist in statistical compilation and record keeping.
  • Assist in program development.
  • Assist in fund raising activities
  • Provide input for newsletter.
  • Maintain a professional, organized environment in the daily operation of the
CASA office.


  • Complete special projects and tasks as assigned.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of computers and software
  • National and state criminal and sexual offender record checks via Fingerprint-Based_
  • Background Check (FBC), Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry via ABCS, and_
  • Social Security number verifications will be conducted on all employees prior to_
- employment and periodically as required by Texas/National CASA._


Pay:
$37, $38,500.00 per year
