- First point of contact for payroll discrepancies-troubleshoot and resolve issues or direct to appropriate contact.
- Cross check other team member's payroll entries-research and analyze and recommend adjustments to manager.
- Compliant and timely filing of required quarterly and annual payroll tax returns.
- Assist with internal and external quarterly and annual audits.
- Resolve tax notice issues and communicate instructions or updates.
- Responsible for setting up and cancelling garnishments and answers writ of garnishment to state and federal agencies.
- Update spread sheets with wire and ACH payments to ensure proper funding for payroll and other disbursement payments.
- Complete spread sheets for the general ledger work up for the accounting department.
- 5 or more years of experience working in a high volume, multi-state, full cycle payroll environment.
- Experience in federal and multi-state payroll tax laws is REQUIRED.
- Certified Payroll Professional credentials preferred.
- A general understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Advanced proficiency on Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
- Experience with UKG preferred.
