- Resolving all packaging related safety issues
- Resolving all Packaging related quality issues
- Creating cost savings/Avoidance projects
- Working on returnable packaging solutions to help with sustainability.
- Documenting packaging required from all suppliers in EPSA.
- Creating work standards
- Focusing on all NPI packaging activities
- Provide NPI support (returnable containers CPPD) Develop packaging solutions to protect finished painted components
•Design for transport efficiency
•Perform containerization analysis and quoting
•Validate new packaging and containers during pilot phase
•Coordinate with assembly planning for line-side storage and ergonomic considerations
•Develop kitting packaging / presentation
•Validate returnable quantities through simulations
•Resolve safety and / or quality issues caused by current packaging
•Resolve issues reported by 3PL or carriers - Working with both NA packaging team as well as both India and China teams
- Working with supply chain - logistics- procurement - Manufacturing - transportation and POU to ensure total alignment with any packaging solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Packaging, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or Equivalent and 1 years of Industrial Packaging experience required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal, teamwork, organization and communication skills
- Thorough understanding of company policies and procedures
- Thorough knowledge of Standard Practice, corporate shipping guidelines, quality and cleanliness specifications and inventory warehousing standards.
- APICS CPIM or CSPC National Certification desired
- Experience with 6 Sigma Project teams preferred.
