The Bioanalytics Systems and Technologies Group focuses on driving analytics to take advantage of vast and rapidly expanding biological datasets to address national security needs. The Group's efforts include developing software architectures and systems, bioinformatics tools, and AI algorithms to further the nation's efforts in chemical and biological defense, biosecurity, public and global health and warfighter performance. Our multidisciplinary team works on integrating data from molecular/genomic levels to physiological system scales, while ensuring systems and data remain secure and private.

  • Ph.
D. in Data Science, Computational Biology, Biomedical Engineering, or related scientific field or equivalent experience in technical analysis. In lieu of a Ph.
D., a master's degree with 5+ years of directly related experience will be considered. Experience leading data science teams focused on AI development in bioinformatics, multi-omics or clinical data.

  • Demonstrated ability to develop a longterm vision to derive actionable information from multimodal biological data.
  • Experience in harmonizing, curating and aggregating molecular, physiological and/or clinical data a plus
  • Ability to work collaboratively and lead highly interdisciplinary teams.
  • Demonstrated skills in scientific writing, as well as development and clear presentation of technical materials to a wide spectrum of technical and nontechnical audiences.
  • Occasional travel (<10%) with optional opportunities for travel.
