    SUMMARY

    The Information Security Manager (ISM) plays a crucial role in overseeing and managing a comprehensive information security program to safeguard the organization's data. This position involves identifying, assessing, and mitigating information security risks while ensuring compliance with regulations and aligning with industry best practices. The ISM collaborates with IT teams and other departments to implement security measures that adhere to established policies and standards. Moreover, they are tasked with evaluating and participating in various IT-related risk management endeavors. A key aspect of this role involves working alongside the Chief Information Officer (CIO) and Management Team to establish acceptable risk levels for the organization. The ISM must effectively translate business requirements and constraints into technical security specifications and provide regular performance reports. The ideal candidate for this position is a visionary who can unite people and processes harmoniously. While leading the security program, the ISM must navigate through diverse challenges and personalities with objectivity, ensuring that security efforts complement rather than hinder Red Rock's core objectives.

    The ISM's responsibilities encompass a range of tasks, from strategic planning to operational support, including:

    • Strategic support
    • Security liaison
    • Architecture/engineering support
    • Operational support

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Oversee the organization's information security program
    • Align information security strategy with organizational objectives
    • Develop and enforce information security policies, procedures, and standards
    • Identify and address current and emerging risks
    • Promote information security awareness
    • Contribute to disaster recovery and business continuity planning
    • Collaborate with various departments to conduct IT risk assessments
    • Provide guidance on risk management for IT projects
    • Monitor security policies and controls regularly
    • Manage outsourced security vendors
    • Ensure compliance with audit requirements
    • Conduct research and recommend security tools
    • Collaborate with various teams to ensure secure project deployments
    • Implement and review Incident Response Plan
    • Coordinate incident detection and response activities
    • Monitor and address security threats
    • Act as HIPAA Security Officer
    • Conduct HIPAA Risk Assessments
    • Assist in Disaster Recovery planning
    • Support special projects as needed
    • Provide cross-training and support in IT areas
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of security practices
    • Attend relevant training sessions
    • Work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Conduct technical writing and user training

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Associate or Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
    • Minimum seven years of relevant experience
    • Strong technical writing and communication skills
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Proficiency in risk assessment and management
    • Experience in developing security architecture and plans
    • Analytical skills for security control implementation
    • Preferably familiar with healthcare environments
    • Expertise in Active Directory and Microsoft 365 Admin/Compliance
    • Proficiency in EDR and email security solutions
    • Experience with security certifications (CISM, CISSP, CISA, etc.)
    • Understanding of operating systems and network protocols
    • Experience in coordinating security testing
