    Job Description Summary

We are looking for your talent to help us invent the future of flight in the Advanced Technologies Organization at GE Aerospace. Looking to impact aviation for years to come? Your work on RISE technologies will usher in a new era of propulsion technology for next-generation aircraft and pave the way for a more sustainable future.

This position is for a US-based leader of electrical sub-systems. Evendale-based is preferred with CT and MA-based as optional. You will be responsible for defining and managing system requirements that pertain to supplier-designed electrical hardware, starting from initial concept through design, development, and validation and culminating in a product vision. Most of this electrical hardware is low voltage; focused on electronics, sensors, and motors. The position requires you to execute system and component analyses, coordinate within a multi-disciplinary team, integrate the system with the engine and airframe, and validate the design through testing.

    • Integrate multiple engine systems and technologies
    • Execute design trade studies, balancing engine deliverables and schedule
    • Identify suppliers and partners required to meet engine deliverables
    • Provide regular updates to technical leadership including through design reviews, design guidance efforts, and programmatic reviews
    • Apply established program management skills utilizing lean tools
    • This role requires applicants to be strong both technically and programmatically

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in design engineering

    Desired Characteristics

    • Highly motivated self-starter who is passionate about inventing the next generation of aerospace technology
    • Demonstrated problem solving skills
    • Ability to work within cross-functional teams to ensure the task is completed on time
