    NGE is currently seeking candidates for a mid-level environmental consulting position in our Pittsburgh, PA, area office.

    Candidates should have at least three years of direct experience in environmental compliance (CAA, CWA, RCRA, CERCLA, and SPCC), a B.S.

    degree in a related discipline (Environmental Science or Environmental Engineering), and a solid understanding of environmental regulations, at a minimum.

    Applicants who have taken steps toward relevant professional licenses (PE, EIT, PG) or certifications (QEP, CHMM, EPI) are encouraged to apply.


    Typical job responsibilities would include:
    Assistance with various environmental multi-media permitting and permit compliance efforts, including air, stormwater, wastewater, and storage tanks

    Preparing and assisting with audits of regulatory compliance programs and environmental management systems

    Data management and analysis for a wide range of projects

    Develop and support the implementation of various environmental plans (SPCC, FRP, SPR, SWPPP, Hazardous Waste Contingency Plans)

    Assist with the completion of environmental regulatory reporting for industrial clients

    Project management and proposal development

    Candidates should be comfortable using Microsoft Office products (primarily Word, Excel, and Access) at an advanced level. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong attention to detail with solid analytical, judgment, and problem-solving capabilities.


    If hired, the applicant should expect to spend time in NGE's office and on location at client sites, with occasional overnight travel.

    NGE also supports a mix of working virtually and in the office to ensure employees achieve a work-life balance.

    Salary Range:
    $65,000 to $85,000 (commensurate with experience and professional qualifications).
