38 full-time, temporary, seasonal Room Attendants needed from 11/10/21 to 04/03/22. Provides cleaning services for guests of the hotel while occupied or after departure. Sorts, counts, folds, marks, or carries linens. Makes beds. Replenishes supplies, such as drinking glasses and writing supplies. Checks, wraps and renders personal assistance to patrons. Communicates effectively with dispatcher when room is ready for inspection. Must have ability to perform exceptionally high quality of housekeeping work while working quickly. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, lift 50 lbs. and work weekends and holidays. Wage is $ $16.36 per hour or more based on experience. The work schedule of 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. is a representation of the daily schedule that this position is in service. The
shifts worked inside this daily schedule are split. The AM Room Attendant begins the work day at 7:00 a.m. and works until
3:00 p.m or 8:00 a.m. and works until 4:30 p.m. The mid-morning Room Attendant begins their work day at 10:00 a.m. and
works until 6:00 p.m. The PM Room Attendant begins the work day at 4:30 p.m. and works until 11:00 p.m. The indication of
35 hours per week is the minimum number of hours a single employee for this position will work. In instances that any worker
exceeds 40 hours in a Monday-Sunday work week, he or she will be paid at the overtime rate.
On-the-job training will be provided. SELMC guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays
in each 12-week period of the total employment period. H-2B workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa
processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (excluding passport fees).
If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and
subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is
dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence
back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent
employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement and lodging as necessary will
be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be
provided at a rate of $13.17 per day during travel to a maximum of $55 per day with receipts. Reimbursement for this will be
paid out on the first pay day following 50% completion of the work contract period. Days off will vary based on need.
Wage is $ $16.36 per hour or more based on experience. Minimum of 35 hours per week. Hours/shifts vary depending
upon business needs and occupancy. Open 7 days a week, Monday through Sunday. Must be able to work at least 5 days
per week. Employer reserves option to provide additional compensation for performance and tenure.
Employer will provide workers all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job at no charge. Workers will be
paid every other Friday on a bi-weekly payroll. Workers will be subject to any federally mandated deductions. Other
deductions from employee's paychecks (as applicable) include employee housing rent, employee housing rent will be
between $348.41 and $800/month and services (including water, sewer, gas, electric and snow removal which are not
optional) will be between $0 and $151.59/month, and employee housing parking (which is optional) would be $50/month. All
three housing deductions will be taken from two paychecks per month. There may be a housing deposit, if not paid in
advance, up to $400 total with $350 refundable at the end of contract). Employee housing is optional.
Employer guarantees offered wage for hours worked equal to or exceeding $15.36 to $16.36 per hour and OT rate at $23.04
to $24.54 per hour. In the event overtime occurs, it will be paid at a rate that is one and a half times the basic rate of pay for any time worked over 40 hours in the Monday-Sunday workweek. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due.
There is a free bus service in Park City/Kimball area for transportation to work. If housing is in Salt Lake City, a UTA van will be
provided for transportation to work.
Must have ability to perform exceptionally high quality of housekeeping work while working quickly. This job is in connection with a future H-2B Foreign Labor Certification application.
