    Geodesicx, Inc. is in search of a Configuration Management Specialist III to join our team in the Norfolk, VA area.


    The Configuration Management Specialist III is responsible for maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.

    This role involves working closely with the Configuration Control Board to define and implement procedures for releasing new products throughout their entire lifecycle.


    Specific Duties:
    Maintain and control hardware inventory documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
    Manage product releases, coordinating with relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth rollout of new products.
    Oversee software configuration management, maintaining consistency of software performance and functionality.
    Work closely with the Configuration Control Board to define and implement procedures for releasing new products.
    Provide change management and product configuration management guidance to support project and program objectives.
    Assist in the development of configuration management plans and guidelines to ensure effective management of product lifecycle.
    Participate in configuration management meetings and activities, contributing to the continuous improvement of configuration management processes.
    Ensure compliance with configuration management policies and standards, maintaining the integrity of product configurations.

    Experience Requirements:


    Ten (10) years of professional experience with configuration management issues associated with maintaining and controlling all hardware inventory documentation, product releases, and software configuration management.

    Experience working closely with the Configuration Control Board in defining and implementing procedures for releasing new products.

    Education Requirements:
    Bachelor's degree
