    Description

    Client in Atlanta immediately hiring for a Staff Engineer. This is a full-time position. Hours are Monday-Friday from 8-5, some weekends as needed to complete projects. The worksite will be within an hour of Metro Atlanta.

    Engineer will be working on 1-3 projects at a time.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Operating and maintaining geotechnical testing equipment.
    • Classifying soil and rock samples obtained from drilling operations.
    • Assist in developing the scope and budget of work for routine projects.
    • Analyze data, perform engineering calculations and analysis, and reporting for PE review.
    • Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or similar field
    • E.I.T. preferred
    • 1-3 years of experience, soils mechanics knowledge
    • Knowledge of relevant remediation, permitting, improvement, and construction laws, codes, regulations, compliance practices, and record-keeping requirements
