    Description:The Strategic Sourcing director is responsible for developing and executing supplier strategies, strategic long term agreements, strategic proposals, sourcing /manufacturing alternatives, affordability and performance management, supporting industrial offset/ industrial participation opportunities and co-ownership for Aero make/buy.

    Aero's strategy and current market conditions including supply base challenges across industries requires improved strategic supplier selection, collaboration, performance, and international growth.

    The strategic sourcing team will be a key partner to help develop current and future capability and capacity through potential Mergers and Acquisitions.

    Develop and implement data process and tools, analytics of industry and market forces, risks & mitigations, enhance and expand creative subcontracting while remaining compliant with FAR/DFARs.

    Successful strategy enables business outcomes of improved affordability and availability.

    This role will require travel up to 20% of the time.

    Basic Qualifications:

    Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
    Program/Project management skills.
    Experience with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).
    Leadership experience.
    Experience with program capture/proposal and/or material strategy development

    Desired Skills:

    Financial and commodity trend analysis skills.
    Master's degree with 8-10 years of related experience.
    Ability to develop long-term strategies and tactical plans to achieve enterprise objectives.
    Commercial aerospace supply chain experience
    Experience developing and implementing affordability improvement initiatives.
    Ability to successfully collaborate with all levels of the organization and the supply base.
    Experienced at identifying and building organizational talent.
    Strong organizational skills to handle many overlapping projects simultaneously.
    Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    Experience leading large cross functional initiatives.
    Ability to manage, coach, train and motivate team.
    Experience with import, export and international trade regulations.
    Ability to acquire Top Secret Security clearance

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Remote Telework:

    The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
