Speech-Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) Needed in Thomasville, North Carolina

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. As an SLPA, you will work closely with our licensed speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans and assist clients in improving their communication skills. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and adults with speech and language disorders.

Thomasville, NC

K-12th Caseload

Responsibilities:

Assist speech-language pathologists in conducting assessments to evaluate clients' communication abilities.
Implement therapy plans developed by licensed speech-language pathologists, including individual and group sessions.
Provide direct support to clients during therapy sessions, guiding them through exercises and activities designed to improve speech, language, and cognitive skills.
Document client progress and communicate observations to the supervising speech-language pathologist.
Collaborate with other members of the therapy team, including teachers, parents, and caregivers, to support clients' overall development and progress.
Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients during therapy sessions.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, Communication Sciences and Disorders, or related field.
Certification as a Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) from an accredited program.
Previous experience working with individuals with speech and language disorders preferred.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a collaborative team.
