***: NEO's Testing Coordinator oversees the testing for Indiana's High School Equivalency (HSE) testing and works with Indiana's Department of Workforce Development (DWD), testing vendors, testers, and NEO's Information and Technology Coordinator and Director of Adult Education to communicate and deliver testing services that are meet regulations.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree, preferred
  • Proficient computer, communication, and organizational skills
  • Pass background check

PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:


  • Serves as NEO's contact person for Indiana's High School Equivalency (HSE) testing, including the GED and the HiSET. May also assist with other testing when appropriate;
  • Ensures test-site compliance;
  • Oversees testing contracts;
  • Creates annual HSE testing schedule and related informational online and print material;
  • Procures and secures testing materials and returns materials per testing service instructions;
  • Oversees and submits special accommodations' in accordance with required protocol;
  • Maintains updated HSE Testing Procedural Manual;
  • Recruits, hires, trains, schedules, and supervises HSE Testing Proctors and Addendum Testing Site Coordinators;
  • Oversees HSE test registrations when required;
  • Together with NEO's IT Coordinator, monitors testing computers to ensure updates are installed and computers are in good working order; submits help-tickets as needed;
  • Keeps abreast of DWD and other related training involving the various tests.

TECHINICAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:


  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively with persons at all levels inside and outside the organization;
  • Effective communication skills necessary to convey and receive information;
  • Basic understanding of computers, printers, projectors, smart boards, scanners, digital and document cameras;
  • Well-developed sense of strategy and timing, ability to prioritize duties independently.
  • Ability to interface with managed service provider in order to discuss technical issues pertaining to user related problems;
  • Ability to work without supervision and to make appropriate decisions;
  • Ability to research and seek out resources and assistance to effectively and efficiently solve problems.

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS _(includes equipment, hours, physical demands)_

Work Environment:
This position typically works in an office setting with a controlled temperature environment. Many of the tasks assigned to this position may be done remotely (with telecommuting agreement).

Equipment:

This position is required to maintain a working knowledge of all office equipment including personal computers and printers, audio-visual equipment, telephone systems, copiers, fax machines and other office equipment.


Hours:
This position works a variety of hours depending on task and demand. Evening or weekend meetings and/or activities may be scheduled as necessary. This position may require occasional travel to other offices, meetings, conferences and/or seminars.

Physical Demands:

Must be able to sit for long periods of time, stand, walk, lift, carry, push/pull, climb, bend, and stoop.

Must be able to perform fine motor skills. Must be able to lift and/or move up to 35 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
