Massanetta Springs, VA is seeking a (Junior) Fiber Infrastructure Planner (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin.

As part of the 1&1 Group, we are the leading provider of alternative fiber networks in Germany and are driving the continuous expansion of our fiber infrastructure as a key player in the gigabit society.

With a focus on B2B customers, we currently serve around 50,000 businesses.


Responsibilities:

  • Planning an innovative fiber infrastructure using stateoftheart AIbased planning tools
  • Identifying and evaluating costeffective methods for planning the fiber infrastructure and integrating them into our workflows
  • Assisting with cost calculations
  • Collaborating with external service providers and suppliers for fiber rollout projects

Qualifications:

  • Degree in telecommunications engineering or communication electronics, or relevant work experience in the telecommunications industry, such as in route planning, line technology, or network expansion
  • No degree required, but relevant experience is preferred
  • Previous experience in implementing fiber optic networks, construction site management, and working with subcontractors and general contractors is desirable
  • Proficiency in common planning and documentation tools, experience with GIS systems is a plus
  • Analytical mindset, ability to work independently and in a structured manner, goaloriented approach with a handson mentality
  • Confident and teamoriented attitude
  • Fluent in German (minimum C1 level)
