Due to growth, Omnia Healthcare Group is adding a Corporate Director of Payroll to our Lincolnwood team.


Job Summary


The Corporate Director of Payroll, under the direction of the CFO, is responsible for managing the company payroll process, including creating standard procedures, training our facility payroll designees, and continously improving processes.

This individual will oversee the daily management of the payroll staff and processes associated with payrolls, ensuring the accuracy of the entire process.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Oversee corporate payroll staff, and provide direction and guidance to facility payroll clerks.
  • Create and documents procedures, including leading both formal and informal training.
  • Have thorough knowledge of payroll budget to ensure proper general ledger coding.
  • Suggest improvements in processes to increase effectiveness of unit
  • Assist with preparation of yearly payroll budget
  • Continually update Department Master for any changes to positions and understand all underlying support.
  • Review and submit PBJ Reporting to CMS
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state and local payroll laws
  • Analyze certain expense accounts as requested by the Finance Department.
  • Oversee year end close including preparation of W2 forms and preparation of various schedules required by Finance Department
  • All other duties, as assigned.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor Degree in Accounting or a minimum of 5 years of high volume payroll experience with at least 3 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of all components to a general ledger.
  • Knowledge of Department of Labor Regulations with regards to exempt and nonexempt employees
  • Knowledge of union regulations
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision under pressure with short deadlines.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with an emphasis on attention to details.
  • Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint,Word and Great Plains.
  • Ability to interact and work with departments throughout the organization.
  • Must be able to read, speak, and communicate effectively in English.

COMPETITIVE SALARY $80,000-$115,000
