    Farm Credit of Southern Colorado (FCSC) is seeking a Senior Credit Analyst to join our team.

    The chosen candidate will be responsible for recommending or approving within delegated credit authority, credit applications by evaluating financial statements and interpreting and applying Association credit standards.

    Position Summary:


    The Senior Credit Analyst is responsible for working on credits of larger size and complexity, recommending and approving loans within delegated credit authority, evaluating financial statements, and interpreting and applying Association credit standards.

    This includes credit analysis, drafting loan narratives, and credit administration.

    Essential responsibilities of this role include entering data of borrower provided information into the system, verifying completeness and accuracy of loan packages, cash flow analysis, as well as analysis of balance sheets, income statements and earned net worth trends.

    The Credit Analyst will also prepare loan narratives to support approval, denial or counterproposal of credit requests. The chosen candidate will also provide guidance to branch and credit staff on credit standards and information gathering techniques.


    Minimum Qualifying Characteristics:
    degree in accounting, agricultural business, business administration, finance, mathematics or related field
    years of experience in credit analysis or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job
    knowledge of financial statements
    knowledge of credit analysis and regulatory requirements with respect to borrower's rights
    knowledge of accounting principles, practices and methods
    knowledge of financial structuring and loan products
    knowledge of agricultural operations
    knowledge of Word/Excel/Outlook sufficient to create, update and save a variety of documents
    in oral and written communication, sufficient to exchange information effectively with peers, supervisor and borrowers
    in differentiating significant and insignificant details
    in analyzing information to define a problem or objective

    Salary Range:
    $75,000 - $90,000.


    This range is a good-faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of this posting.

    Actual salaries could vary and may be above or below the range as permitted by Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rule Variation is based on various factors including but not limited to location, qualifications, experience, operational needs and other considerations permitted by law.

    In compliance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, a potential new employee's salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.

    In addition, benefits for this position include medical, dental, vision and life insurance, 401k, tax advantage accounts, paid vacation, sick leave and parental leave.
