Assistant General Manager

Job Summary


Responsibilities:


Assist the Restaurant Manager in organizing and coordinating daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, shift scheduling, and staff management.

Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager to develop and implement strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and sanitary restaurant environment.

Assist in recruiting, training, and supervising restaurant staff, including servers, host/hostess, and kitchen staff.

Monitor employee performance, provide feedback, and implement performance improvement plans when necessary.

Resolve customer complaints and ensure customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service.

Assist in maintaining inventory levels, ordering supplies, and managing food and beverage costs.

Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on menu planning, new dish development, and any changes to the restaurant's offerings.

Stay up-to-date with industry trends and make recommendations for improvements in service, operations, and profitability.


Qualifications:

Previous experience in a restaurant or food service management role.

Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations.

Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with customers and staff.

Proficient in computer skills, including POS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings.

Pay:
$100,000.00 per year

  • Day shift

Weekly day range:

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed
