Customer Service Representative - Houston, United States - Polytex Fibers
Description
This position is a key role on facilitating the fulfillment of our orders to our customers in a timely manner, this role is also a liaison between our customers and production.
You will play a crucial role in maintaining positive relationships with customers, managing inquiries, processing orders, and providing exceptional service throughout the customer journey.
DESCRIPTION
- Ensures compliance regarding Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Good Housekeeping practices for all activities.
- Provide Customer service to all customers on resolving any issue by directing and delegating to the correct department for resolution.
- Detail scheduling for all assigned production areas, resolve challenges or obstacles.
- Plans, creates, and maintains the production schedule based upon demand planning, actual sales orders, internal capacity and factors affecting schedule attainment and develops a master production schedule.
- Communicate with production about schedule changes, clarify any open questions regarding schedules or priorities.
- Identify and execute opportunities for cost improvement, efficiency, and overall company performance.
- Address customer concerns, provide product information, and offer solutions to meet their needs.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventories of Raw Material and Finished Goods
- Develop a comprehensive understanding of our product line and manufacturing processes.
- Provide guidance and recommendations to customers based on their specific requirements.
- Stay updated on industry trends and product developments to better assist customers.
- Communicates with Sales, Quality Assurance and Production to satisfy customer requirements.
- Support inventory management accuracy and improvement initiatives to reduce cost and improve results.
- Proactively reach out to customers to gather feedback and ensure their ongoing satisfaction.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
COMPETENCIES
- Strong attention to detail, with a high degree of accuracy and precision
- Knowledge of production control, planning, inventory control, and materials
- Advance computer skills in excel
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
EXPERIENCE
- Preferred experience in manufacturing environment
- 3 years previous experience in customer service
- Preferred experience in ERP Production Planning and MRP
- High School Diploma or bachelor's degree marketing, sales or administration
- Bilingual
