    QualificationsCandidate


    shall have a BSCE degree, California Registration as a Professional Civil Engineer, plus a minimum of ten years' experience in public works design with an emphasis in transportation engineering; or the equivalent work experience of 14 years.


    Position generally requires extensive experience and demonstrated engineering abilities in all aspects of roadway engineering projects; and in interacting comfortably and productively with clients and public agencies.

    Experience with Caltrans District 5 and knowledge of Caltrans processes is a plus. Candidate must have a minimum five years' project management.


    Candidate's managerial experience shall include supervision of engineering design teams; management of project schedules and budgets; preparation of contracts, fee proposals, and scopes of work; and experience in client and public-agency interactions.

    Ability to develop business in the field of transportation design is a must. CA-105
