Position Summary:

A concrete finisher is required to perform a variety of tasks including placing, finishing, protecting and repairing concrete.


Responsibilities:


  • Comply with (and actively promote) all Safety policies and procedures including reporting all accidents, incidents and nearmisses to ensure adherence to our Number One Core Value
  • Safety first, in everything we do.
  • Operates a screed to level freshly placed concrete according to grade and depth specification.
  • Smooth concrete surface using either a hand trowel, long handled "bull float" or powered float.
  • Cut joints/grooves in concrete with edging tools to help control cracking.
  • Monitor the wind, heat and cold as it affects the curing of the concrete.

Qualifications:


  • Must have good vision, stamina, good hand eye coordination and an ability to estimate size and dimensions.
  • Required to perform task that include heavy lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping kneeling, crouching, crawling and reaching.
  • Must be able to work outdoors in areas that are dusty or dirty.
  • Must be able to meet all safety requirements and applicable safety policies.
