- Review upcoming order volume and inbound receipts to identify any potential issues.
- Address any supply issues found during daily requisition process (which is the moving of raw materials into production room). Provide guidance on updated deliveries or substitution choices to address shortages.
- Communicate with vendors to schedule / confirm pickup and deliveries.
- Document vendor performance and work directly with them on resolving problems / improving ongoing performance.
- Serve as the Purchasing representative on the site management team, working cross-functionally to better serve our customers and improve overall productivity.
- Assist Buyers with creating / modifying purchase orders and researching three-way match issues (PO to Actual Receipt to Invoice)
- Work closely with warehouse staff and help maintain an accurate inventory count.
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
- Safety awareness will be priority # 1, adheres to follow all GMP's and guidelines.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment independently and as part of a team.
- Create and submit orders to vendors.
- Schedule confirm pickups and deliveries.
- Maintain compliance regarding different menu specifications, costs and food safety.
- Receives and maintains inventories.
- Inform supervisor verbally and written reports of any problems or issues encountered during deliveries and throughout the day.
- Work closely with warehouse staff and help maintain an accurate inventory count.
- Maintain excel spread sheets current.
- Create and submits order to suppliers.
- Track inventories and orders to ensure timely delivery.
- Enter order details (e.g. vendors, quantities, prices) into internal databases.
- High School diploma or GED. BA/BS is preferred.
- Experience working in a directly related position, ideally within the food industry
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of applications. Experience with ERP system is highly preferred.
- Fluent in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Able to work accurately with attention to detail.
- Comfortable in fast paced environment.
- Able to collaborate and work in a team environment.
- Able to have repetitive use of hands for grasping, writing, and typing etc.
- Able to bend, twist, walk, and stand to perform normal job functions.
