    Description

    Senior Accountant Position at Chord Energy

    Chord Energy is looking for a Senior Accountant to join the Operations Accounting Team in downtown Houston, Texas. This role will directly report to the Accounting Manager.

    Job Description:

    • Prepare monthly journal entries, including accruals and eliminations
    • Report on divisional results
    • Conduct monthly account reconciliations
    • Develop visualization tools for data analysis
    • Analyze and explain variances to management
    • Ensure compliance with policies and assist in audits
    • Provide guidance to team members

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5 years of accounting experience
    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
    • Strong analytical and process improvement skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience in upstream, midstream, or oil-field services accounting
    • Familiarity with Enertia accounting system
    • Knowledge of inventory management programs

    Working Conditions:

    Ability to work in a standard office environment and use typical office equipment. Attention to detail, good vision, and communication skills are essential.
