What you'll do:


  • Acknowledge and greet all guests in a professional and friendly manner
  • Helping patients with compassion and providing information, services, and various clinical assistance,
  • Verify patient information by interviewing patient; recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit and capturing all Meaningful Use measures in the patient's Electronic Health Record (EHR).
  • Preparing patients for consultations, treatments and procedures.
  • Occasional assistance with procedures, securing patient information and maintaining patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records.
  • Counseling patients by transmitting providers orders to patient and questions about procedures.
  • Assisting with getting supplies ready by checking inventory stock; placing orders; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Answering phone calls and returning calls; scheduling appointments; educating patients regarding our services; patient education and relaying lab results
  • Perform scribing tasks as directed by provider; prepare prescriptions indicated during the exam for provider's signature at conclusion of exam
  • Prep all patient charts & maintain per protocol ensuring an organized, current reflection of medical history and treatments is available to Providers at all times
  • Manage multiline phone system & have exceptional customer service skills over the phone. This is especially crucial during the COVID19 pandemic, as face to face interactions are limited
  • Process transactions accurately & take client payments in person & via phone
  • Complete daily opening and closing procedures including reconciling transactions, reports and inventory
  • Assist with administrative duties as needed or assigned by the Practice Manager and/or Medical Director
  • Maintain a positive working relationship and work alongside other staff. This includes establishing an organized system with the entire Front Desk team to ensure the daily flow of the clinic is successful
  • Learn the products and services offered at our clinic and the aesthetics industry. This may include independent study and research during nonworking hours and/or travel
  • Understanding of HIPAA laws & use discretion handling patient information
  • Assist other staff in performing sanitization procedures for the entire clinic per our COVID19 protocol
  • Maintain a clean, organized work space at all times & sanitize after each patient interaction

What you'll need:


  • Two years experience as a medical assistant or front desk preferably in the dermatology or aesthetics industry
  • One year working experience with EMR
  • Completion of Medical Assistant authorized program by the Dept. of Education or post secondary institution accredited or approved by the bureau of Private Post Secondary and Vocational education in the Dept. of Consumer Affairs is preferred
  • BLS Certification is preferred
  • Demonstrated completion of ten clock hours of training in administering injections and performing skin tests, and/or ten clock hours of training in venipuncture and skin puncture for the purpose of withdrawing blood, and satisfactory performance by the trainee of at least ten each of intramuscular, subcutaneous, and intradermal injections and ten skin tests, and/or at least ten venipuncture and ten skin procedures
  • Knowledge of dermatologic terminology and disease condition sufficient to communicate treatment status with patients and their families, medical faculty and staff, and other health professionals
  • Ability to keep a running inventory
  • Knowledge of lasers
  • Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities
  • Knowledge of surgical instruments
  • Knowledge of operating and maintaining standard surgical medical equipment
  • Become proficient with and utilize scheduli
