Description
The Associate Scientist at Amgen conducts a variety of routine laboratory tasks and procedures. They assist with data collection and basic analysis under the supervision of more senior scientists.Key Responsibilities:
- Design and perform _in vitro_ studies to assess the biology of novel targets and evaluate mechanisms of action of therapeutic molecules.
- Collaborate closely with colleagues in _In Vivo_ Pharmacology to support and execute pharmacodynamic studies.
- Perform literature and database surveys to support new target ideation and evaluation.
- Effectively communicate plans, results, and analyses to crossfunctional teams.

We are seeking a committed and creative team player with these qualifications:
Basic Qualifications:
Master's degree and 1 year of Scientific experience
Or:
Bachelor's degree and 3 years of Scientific experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's Degree in immunology or a related discipline and 3+ years of scientific experience in an industry setting or recently graduated Ph.
- Handson experience in laboratory techniques including primary T cell and mammalian cell cultures, siRNA/DNA transfection, genome editing, qRTPCR, ELISA and western blot.
- Expertise in the isolation and flow cytometrybased analysis of human or murine immune cells.
- Prior experience with tumorimmune cell cocultures and performing cytotoxicity assays is preferred.
- Proactive, curious, and eager to learn and grow.
