Townsen Memorial Hospital is looking for a
_full-time, __Bilingual Imaging Scheduler _**in Houston, Texas The scheduler would be responsible for checking-out patient and understanding patient needs to successfully organize and schedule procedures accordingly and promptly.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:


  • Communicates with all appropriate parties regarding patient and procedure
  • Followsup and ensures all documentation is obtained
  • Verifies if all authorizations have been obtained prior to scheduling procedures
  • Schedules and/or reschedules patient followups and procedures
  • Coordinates transportation for our procedure patients, if needed
  • Inform and provide patient with necessary information and instructions prior to procedure date
  • Followsup on all Canceled or No-Show Patients
  • Checkout patients
  • Move patients through appointments as scheduled
  • Answer telephone and deal with inquiries
  • Update patients' information into database
  • Able to travel between various locations if needed
  • Flexible scheduling may be required to meet company needs
  • Other duties as assigned

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:


  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, and other office procedures and terminology
  • Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and eCW
  • Strong attention to detail: being careful about detail and thorough in completing work tasks
  • Ability to work independently by guiding oneself with little or no supervision and depending one oneself to get things done
  • Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette
  • Ability to communicate professionally with patients

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:


  • High School diploma; some college preferred
  • Minimum 12 years in medical office scheduling setting
