The successful candidate will have a strong technical background and will be responsible for creating a product offer that meets the needs of our clients and brings innovation and unparalleled capabilities to their technical teams.
A day in the life of a Product Marketing Manager:Support customers (internal and external) with good technical knowledge of products' performance and industry trendsCollect market intelligence, analyze product's features, identify opportunities and risks.
Define the product's value proposition taking into account market trends, customer needs, and industry standardsManage product line:product type, packaging, service, pricing, validation of opportunities for new design, forecast, product lifecycleMake products' improvement plan: evolution of product and technology, cost reduction initiativesOrganize and support marketing activities: content for product launches, catalogs, databases, website, advertisement, and exhibitionsCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including customers, sales, engineering and suppliersThe ProfileKNOW THE REQUIREMENTSBachelor's degree in related fields; Technical degree and related product marketing experience is highly desirable5 or more years of relevant work experience (require at least 5 years of product management experience, with 2 years or more specifically in Fiber Optic)People Management experience is a plusTo comply with ITAR, must be US Citizen or Permanent Legal ResidentStrong working knowledge of Marketing AnalyticsUnderstanding of current product standards and performance levelsKnowledge and experience in defense markets, different application environments and technologies where products will be usedBusiness development experiencePMP training/certification and exposure to DAU helpful, but not requiredMust be able to reliably commute to the work site in Tualatin, OR - relocation not providedUp to 30% travel may be requiredFull-time onsite at Tualatin, OR officeEEO/F/M/V/DApply for this job
