Minimum Qualifications:


Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, computer engineering, system analysis, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five years of experience in business strategic and operations planning and/or business analysis or experience as an enterprise architecture consultant.
  • Any equivalent combination of education and/or jobrelated experience that meets the minimum qualifications may be substituted.

Licensing, Certifications and Other Requirements

  • Every person employed by the City of Scottsdale shall reside in the State of Arizona during his or her active employment by the City, regardless of whether the employee is approved to remote work.
  • Other pertinent licenses and/or certifications may be required of some positions depending on division/department/service assignment._

Essential Functions:


  • Performs duties and responsibilities commensurate with assigned functional area within a department(s) which may include, but are not limited to, any combination of the following:_
  • Provides overall direction, guidance, and definition of IT architecture to effectively support the business strategy.
  • Advises on options, risks, costs versus benefits, system impacts, and technology priorities.
  • Supports organizational and IT leadership in overseeing, managing, and using the entire life cycle of investments and initiatives to achieve the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Reviews existing business processes and establishes metrics to improve business processes, as well as support all architectural disciplines under their direction.
  • Leads programs to develop, maintain, and govern the enterprise architecture across the organization.
  • Leads analysis of the IT environment to detect critical deficiencies and recommend solutions for improvement.
  • Develops and communicates architectural policies, standards, guidelines, and procedures.

Work Environment/Physical Demands:


  • Most work is performed in a city office environment.
  • Lift and carry materials weighing up to 30 pounds.
  • Travel to/from meetings and various locations.
