Description

A New Leaf's REACH Sexual Violence Services address the unique, short, and long-term emotional safety and healing needs of those who have experienced sexual violence in the past and/or present.

This program offers survivor driven, healing centered services that provide support for survivors of all genders, sexual orientations, and expressions.

Our REACH Center is a 24 hour helpline that provides support for survivors of all genders, sexual orientations, and expressions.

Services provided include personal advocacy, individual and group support, resource referral, community outreach/education and training.

Through community collaboration and outreach, these services provide educational opportunities and promotes public awareness of the prevalence and impact of sexual violence.


Salary:
$47,840/YR


Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm (May vary depending on program need)

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High School or GED required
Associates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred
Experience
Minimum of 6 months supervisory experience
Demonstrated knowledge of sexual violence and understanding of unique needs of survivors
Understanding of social services, community organizations, and resources available within the community, specific to survivors' needs.
Demonstrated experience with trauma-informed practices, crisis intervention skills and active listening skills
Duties and Responsabilites
Role model appropriate behaviors to callers/clients and staff at all times, utilizing trauma informed healing centered principles and practices.

Provide advocacy to SV clients through services including crisis intervention, personal advocacy, understanding the impact of trauma, recognizing triggers/strengths, developing healthy coping skills and emotional safety planning.

Provide appropriate information, resources and referrals to various community resources based on needs of the individual.

Community referrals to external resources may also be provided when the needs of the individual are beyond the scope of our services.

Assist survivors in developing an Emotional Safety Plan; this plan may be simple or complex, depending on the individual client needs.

Provide accompaniment to forensic exams as requested. Provide accompaniment to law enforcement/reporting as requested, and other providers as requested and available.
Establish/maintain client files according to program requirements.
Develop, coordinate and facilitate support groups and workshops for survivors/secondary survivors.
Participate in/assist in facilitating training on dynamics of sexual violence and its root causes, victimization types and service provision.

Direct and track all outreach efforts to the community to educate individuals on the dynamics and impact of sexual violence, in an effort to enhance awareness of REACH Sexual Violence Services.
