Job Description for Mechatronics Apprenticeship (m/f/d)

Mechatronics is an essential component of modern industrial production. Due to the combination of mechanics and electronics, a mechatronics apprentice is primarily responsible for the assembly, operation, and maintenance of complex production systems and equipment. This includes measuring and testing all components, as well as occasional programming of manufacturing systems. The apprenticeship lasts for three and a half years, providing a strong foundation for various further education opportunities, such as in electrical engineering or mechatronics, becoming an industrial foreman in the field of metalworking, a mechanical engineering technician, or an electrical technician.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manual and machine-based cutting, shaping, and forming
  • Programming of automation systems
  • Measurement and testing of electrical and mechanical parameters
  • Selection, soldering, clamping, stretching, and connecting of wires according to their intended use
  • Programming of mechatronic systems (S7, Logo, Robotics)
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Commissioning, maintenance, and repair of mechatronic systems
  • Assuming company tasks and projects
  • Creating documentation (including in English)
Requirements:
  • Qualified secondary school diploma, intermediate school leaving certificate, or high school diploma
