ColonialWebb is seeking a talented, and career minded Commissioning Technician to join our team.

As Commissioning Technician, you will perform start-up and commissioning services for medium to large sized complex heating and cooling systems and associated control systems.

A day in the life:


  • Work as part of our new construction team to work on a variety of jobs
  • Utilize your troubleshooting skills to conduct startup and commissioning services for commercial HVAC projects
  • Typical projects include startup and commissioning services for rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, cooling towers, commercial boilers, pneumatic and electrical control systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair HVAC equipment
  • Install, replace and retrofit HVAC equipment

You should have:


  • A minimum of 3 years' technical/service experience working with HVAC systems
  • Work experience performing startup and commissioning services for commercial HVAC systems
  • Indepth experience troubleshooting and repairing commercial HVAC systems
  • Knowledge of typical VRF systems and control systems
  • Journeyman or Master's HVAC License (preferred, not required)
  • Possess Universal EPA certification
  • Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
  • Ability to coordinate commissioning efforts between customer and project management
