Arabesque Conservatory of Music is excited to expand its artistic programs to include dance, specifically tailored for individuals with special needs.

We are dedicated to fostering expressive and therapeutic movement through dance, enhancing both physical coordination and emotional well-being. We are seeking passionate, experienced, and dynamic Dance Instructors to provide in-home, personalized dance instruction on a contract basis.


Position Overview:


As an In-Home Dance Instructor with Arabesque Conservatory of Music, you will deliver one-on-one dance lessons to students with special needs directly in their homes.

This role involves creating a supportive and adaptive learning environment that caters to the unique abilities and interests of each student, focusing on enhancing their motor skills, self-expression, and confidence through dance.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Assess the abilities and needs of each student to develop customized dance lesson plans.
  • Teach a variety of dance styles and movements, tailored to the student's abilities, interests, and therapeutic needs.
  • Provide patient, supportive, and engaging instruction to foster a love for dance while enhancing physical coordination and emotional expression.
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting lesson plans and instructional methods as needed to optimize learning and enjoyment.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, guardians, and any involved healthcare professionals to ensure a collaborative approach to the student's development.
  • Ensure a safe and conducive learning environment within the student's home for dance activities.

Qualifications:


  • Proven experience as a Dance Instructor with a strong ability to teach various dance styles.
  • Previous experience or training in working with individuals with special needs is highly preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and motivational skills.
  • A nurturing, patient, and creative approach to teaching dance.
  • Must have reliable transportation for inhome visits.
  • Available to commit to a contract position with flexible scheduling based on student needs.

Contract Details:


  • Instructors are expected to provide their own basic equipment and materials necessary for inhome dance lessons, such as portable music players.
